Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are used in medical and food industries to increase the production of specific top-end pharmaceutical products or crops. Many people is concerned about the use of recombinant DNA technology and its consequences on health. However, after 20 years, approximately 80% of the food products in a supermarket contain derived ingredients from GM corn or soybean, and all the collected data could be used to undertake safety evaluations.
