The micribiome of the oral cavity is complex and plays a role in health and disease in companion animals. The article review the importance of the Oral Microbiome in Companion Animals, specifically in cats. Potential dietary interventions during pre weaning may be able to shape the oral bacteria
during this time to improve lifelong oral health in cats.
